114 Member Feedback
Tea and biscuits were provided to the meeting and everyone present was invited to participate in a general discussion regarding the Marina and the Association. Points which were raised included:
114.1 Marina Approach Road
Several members commented that the external roads did not appear to have been fully repaired and ask that VMMA obtain an update on the situation regarding the repairs to the road and also whether or not the road was going to be re-adopted by Rugby Council.
114.2 Cleaning of Ladies Toilet blocks
Several members commented that the Ladies toilet blocks appeared not to be cleaned at weekends which is the busiest time.
114.3 Defibrillators
It was suggested that defibrillators could be provided on each service block. It was thought that there might be grants available.
114.4 Hairdryers points for the Ladies Toilet blocks
A request was received for power points to be provided in the Ladies Toilet blocks so that Moorers could use hairdryers. It was thought that Health & Safety would require fixed connection hairdryers rather than plug sockets.
114.5 Kitchen Tap
Comments were received about the kitchen tap and the fact that water didn’t actually get into the sink.
114.6 First Aid Training
In response to a question from the Committee, several Members expressed an interest in a First Aid course focusing on the type of incidents which might happen on a canal.
114.7 Marina Staff
The Committee was asked to pass on to the Marina the members’ appreciation of the cheerful attitudes, helpfulness and friendliness of the Marina staff and, in particular, how outstanding the Harbourmasters are.
114.8 VMMA Logo
The Committee were congratulated on the logo, which Members thought was very appropriate.
The Chairman thanked the Members for their comments and closed the meeting.
