Unfortunately, due to lack of interest, the picnic has been cancelled. Martin Grahame-Dunn is still planning to put the geocaching clues around for people to do the hunt as and when they want and we’ll post details of once Martin has made the appropriate adjustments to the format.
Using What3Words, set off from the Woodland Lounge at 3pm and see how many of the caches hidden in and around the Marina you can find.
If you’re not quite sure what ‘Geocaching’ is then you’ll soon find out. We’ll be placing these 14 small containers in locations in and around the Marina which will be a pleasant walk and a kind of treasure hunt.
We’ll give you clues as to their location using a free app called “What Three Words”.
It’s all for fun and afterwards we will meet up for a picnic/bbq in good company. When you find a container, simply write your name and the time. The game is afoot!
We’re expecting it to take around 2 hours to find all the clues. So from about 5pm, join us for a Picnic around the barbecue area in Sunset Basin. We’ll provide some bread, cheese and pickle plus charcoal if you want to barbecue your own food,
Take part in either the hunt or the picnic or both.
Free to VMMA Members, £3 for non-Members.
We will need a minimum number of people signed up in order to run this, so please make sure you let me know if you’re planning to come along – secretary@vmma.org.uk
